The stars are real: 1,637 of them down to magnitude 5, with positions, magnitudes, spectral types and distances from the HYG database, which compiles Hipparcos, Yale and Gliese. Every figure in the panel — the star's proper name, its Bayer designation, its magnitude, its distance in light years, the constellation the patch sits in — comes from that catalogue and is not invented. The story is invented, obviously, and is labelled as such; so is your constellation, which the International Astronomical Union will not be recognising. Your register is kept in this browser and nowhere else.
