Every sound here is made in your browser out of oscillators and noise, in real
time. There are no recordings and no samples — nothing was played into a
microphone, so no two minutes of it are ever the same. Headphones help; several
of these live mostly below 200 Hz.

What you are hearing. Each place is a different graph, not one pad with six
labels: the noise is a different colour, filtered differently, and the things that
happen on top — drips, crackles, page turns, relay clicks — are scheduled
at different rates with different envelopes. The reverb is a decaying burst of noise
generated at load, so even the room is synthetic.
